CESAR Y GEORGETTE, THE COFFEE SHOP WITH A PERUVIAN ACCENT
Machefert Group, constantly striving to offer its guests astonishing, explosive, gripping and thrilling moments, is launching its first Coffee Shop, in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, with a Peruvian accent: " Cesar y Georgette ".
A fan of places with a strong identity, like the1K Paris and the Kube Hôtel, the group's new opening tells the story of the love affair between César Vallejo, the famous Peruvian poet who came to stay at the La Dépendance hotel, and his wife Georgette. It was in February 1927 that the poet met his beloved, and legend has it that he offered her a cup of coffee on their first date.
As a tribute to this idyll, the boutique hotel La Dépendance is inaugurating a coffee shop named "Cesar y Georgette", a place which, through a fusion menu of Peruvian coffees, celebrates the link between Paris and Peru. For the occasion, Cesar y Georgette will be offering a unique 5-step tasting experience called "Omakasé", translated from the Japanese "Le Choix du Chef":
First step: Coffee leaves
Second step: Coffee cascara
Third stage: Cold bref
Fourth step: v60 filter
Fifth time: Coffee of your choice
Just a stone's throw from the Musée du Louvre, Cesar y Georgette is committed to offering a unique coffee experience in Paris, featuring a product grown in the highlands of the province of Convencíon, located in the Cuzco region of Peru, at an altitude of over 1850 meters.
The beans, harvested in these high valleys, capture the richness of the region's volcanic soils and climatic variations, offering a unique palette of flavors. Café Cesar y Georgette, in partnership with the Incahuasi cooperative, meaning "House of the Incas", offers an authentic product that transcends the simple cup of coffee. It's an invitation to rediscover coffee from a new angle, to savor every sip and explore the unique aromas of the Cuzco region while supporting local Peruvian farms.
The establishment is committed to sustainable practices, fostering an ethical relationship with Peruvian coffee growers. What's more, this new Group address stands out for its innovative brewing methods, based on the slow extraction of coffee fragrances. The use of V-60 and Cold Brew allows us to bring out the full range of flavours in our fabulous espressos. The roasting of Cesar y Georgette coffee is a tribute to traditional methods inherited from the Incas. Each batch of beans is carefully roasted to reveal the subtle aromas and unique flavor profiles of Peruvian coffee.
This artisanal approach guarantees an exceptional cup of coffee, balanced and full of character, whether eat-in or take-away.
And in the evening, stemware replaces coffee cups, with a selection of beverages such as Negroni, Pisco Sour, Peru's emblematic spirit, or the essential Espresso Martini. Caoua aficionados will enjoy these tastings bathed in a 1920s decor that perfectly blends these two cultures thanks to the famous round tables of Parisian bistros and terra cota colors reminiscent of Peru. The ideal spot to meet your Cesar, or your Georgette.
