THE MONTIJO MUSICAL BRUNCH & PAELLA PARTY!
MONTIJO, THE SPANISH DINING CELLAR IN BATIGNOLLES, LAUNCHES ITS BRUNCH!
Just a stone's throw from Pont-Cardinet, the Cave à manger des Batignolles revisits the Sunday brunch with super colorful plates and Andalusian recipes never before seen in Paris. In this bodega-style restaurant, Parisians and other visitors to the capital gather in a friendly atmosphere to savor Hispanic flavors straight from Spain, and enjoy a voyage of discovery!
On the programme: cheese and charcuterie, and a home-made Paëlla Party!
Last but not least, there's the giant paella to round off this crazy brunch. Cooked before our very eyes, the paella arrives at the table steaming hot and finishes cooking right on the plate. On the palate, the flavors are there, the cooking mastered, the rice just the right amount of spice, its taste lightly toasted. In short, paella will soon become our Montijo brunch staple. And all to music!
A veritable parade of Iberian specialties unfolds before our very eyes, starting with pinxtos, those little slices of crusty bread topped with tomatoes, cecina de leon or octopus. Then there's the famous Spanish tortilla, banderillas - delicious skewers of anchovies, olives, garlic and piquillos - and a selection of carefully chosen charcuterie from Spain, such as Lomo embouchado and Iberian chorizo.
On the cheese side, you'll enjoy Manchego, a Spanish cheese made from sheep's milk, Idiazabal, which melts in the mouth, Mahon and Tetilla.
Brunch continues with warm, comforting dishes such as the must-try patatas bravas, Chilidrón chicken made with garlic, onion, red peppers and a little tomato, or empanadas gallegas, straight from the Galician region. To continue our journey, we choose between Huevos Rotos made with eggs, potatoes and cold meats, or solomillo, Iberian filet mignon with orange sauce.
And let's not forget the sweet specialties: Tarta santiago, the traditional almond dessert, Tarta de Queso, the Spanish cheesecake, Catalan cream and other pastries.
